19 Apr FSB: Managing Change and Redundancies
Covid-19 has hit small business hard and changed how they operate, commercially and with regard to employee management. The impact of lockdown and severe restrictions on trade has left entrepreneurs needing support on new ways of doing business in the emerging economy. For many, that means how to put in place effective – and legal – change management processes and facing up to the difficult decision to cut staff.
FSB’s ‘Managing Change and Redundancies’ will utilise the knowledge and experience of three expert speakers to help business owners deal with change and take staff on the journey, with an opportunity to ask questions at the end.
Mark Butchard, of Mark Butchard Business Solutions Ltd
Mark Butchard, of Mark Butchard Business Solutions Ltd, will outline ‘The realities of change,’ how to adapt, embrace processes and adopt approaches that support employees when carrying out organisational and operational changes, such as varying product lines and services, implementing technology, developing management teams and introducing different modus operandi, something many businesses have already had to do or will have to look at as we recover from the pandemic.
Peter Lawrence, of AI Change Management
Peter Lawrence, of AI Change Management, will speak about ‘The relationships of change’: securing the emotional buy-in of employees when undertaking change management, explaining that change is a human dynamic process and how taking into account cultural intelligence – the cultural differences of individual employees – can make all the difference when building, and re-building, your team.
